Meet Dr. Scott Jaffe, DO
Board certified in Family Medicine. Same-day appointments often available.
For more than three decades, patients across Southwest Florida have sat across from the same doctor, in the same kind of quiet office, and been treated as individuals. Dr. Jaffe treats patients from Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Hendry counties and the communities around them, all from his practice in Bonita Springs. The practice is built on a simple idea: you see Dr. Jaffe, every visit, for as long as you are his patient.
Board Certified, In Practice Since 1992
Dr. Jaffe is board certified in Family Medicine and has been in practice since 1992. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University in 1989 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is also a member of the Collier County Medical Society, the professional physician association for the Naples area.
His path through Family Medicine matters to how he practices. Before anything else, he is a physician trained to look at the whole person: your health history, your medications, your circumstances, and how they fit together. Addiction, anxiety and attention disorders are medical conditions, and he treats them the way a good physician treats any medical condition, with evidence, follow up and honesty.
What a DO Is
Dr. Jaffe is a DO, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. A DO is a fully licensed physician, the same as an MD in every practical respect: the same prescribing authority, the same board certifications, the same hospital privileges. Osteopathic training adds a particular emphasis on treating the whole person rather than a single symptom, which is exactly the approach addiction and mental health care demand.
Additional Training in Addiction Medicine
Beyond Family Medicine, Dr. Jaffe has years of additional training in treating all forms of addiction, including opioid dependence, alcohol use disorder and kratom addiction. He has provided medication assisted treatment in Southwest Florida since long before most people had heard the term, and his patients get the benefit of that experience: treatment plans grounded in what actually works, explained in plain language, adjusted as life changes.
How This Practice Works
This is a private medical practice, not a clinic or a treatment center. There are no lines, no groups and no rotating providers. Appointments are scheduled, records are private, and scheduling is discreet. Same-day appointments are often available, because the moment someone decides to ask for help is not a moment to waste.
Telehealth appointments are available for patients throughout Florida, including seasonal residents. Some visits, such as a Vivitrol injection, need to happen in the office.
What Dr. Jaffe Treats
Dr. Jaffe provides addiction treatment, including opioid treatment with Suboxone, alcohol treatment and kratom addiction treatment, as well as anxiety treatment and adult ADHD evaluation and treatment. Each service has its own page explaining how treatment works and what a first appointment covers. Patients come from across Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Hendry counties, including Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Estero, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, LaBelle and Clewiston.
